The Why and Who behind Oliva

Oliva Social was born the way all the best parties start: with good friends, big dreams, and a shared love for bringing people together. Husband and wife Adam and Tijana, along with long-time high school friend Carl, turned what was once a quiet neighbourhood bar into Preston’s most talked-about celebration space. What started as a local spot for a casual drink quickly evolved into something much bigger because Melbourne families wanted a place that felt like home, only louder, warmer, and without the cleanup! We didn’t set out to be “just another venue.”

We built Oliva Social to bring people back to the heart of celebrating, where food, laughter, and connection come first. Families come here to remember why they love each other; mates come here to turn moments into memories. It’s where Nonna gets on the dance floor, kids sneak an extra slice of cake, and every generation finds the same rhythm somewhere between dessert and the dance floor. Every event we host carries that same spirit, heartfelt, real, and full of life. Because in celebrating your family, you help us honour our own. We’re here to remind you that life’s never too busy to come together, to toast, to dance, and to celebrate like it truly matters because it really does.
